Dr Nick Harvey, CEO, Digitalis: General Practice is ahead of the curve in terms of digitisation but not much has changed since EHRs. Working at scale has brought new challenges. While not a necessity, in East Sussex we facilitated a move by all practices to EMIS Web. This has enabled a share of resources and improved access for our patients. Mounting pressures and the vision in the GPFV have meant a move towards multidisciplinary teams of nurses, nurse practitioners, physiotherapists, pharmacists, paramedic practitioners and physicians associates. They all need supporting with their development and Digitalis CPD has proven to be the ideal platform for this.

The Yorkshire Imaging Collaborative is a programme that will enable transformative change across the radiology services of 8 NHS Trusts, including 24 NHS Hospitals, making images and radiology reports available at the point of care within the network. The programme is a regional approach that will support sustainable integrated radiology services, to enable earlier diagnosis and meet rising demand. This includes over 300 dedicated radiology reporting stations, with the core Enterprise Imaging platform and XERO Viewer available to over 10,000 users. The Trusts will be able to reduce outsourced reporting costs and repeated images, while enhancing clinical efficiency and standardisation.
